Dr. MacNeill received her honours undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Biology concurrently with her degree of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. During her last two years of training, she was involved in running clinical research trials at the Centre for Contact Lens Research at the School of Optometry. She continued her work at the Centre after graduation on a part-time basis as lead researcher on several clinical trials leading to publication and conference presentation. Upon graduation, she joined Drs. Miller and Timpano in practice and has been actively involved in the Guelph community since that time. As part of giving back to her profession, Dr. MacNeill is an assessor with the College of Optometrists of Ontario’s Quality Assurance Program as well as a mentor and practitioner in regions of the world lacking in eye care resources. She is also actively involved with Special Olympics Ontario. Dr. MacNeill enjoys all aspects of patient care with a passion for promoting the importance of eye care from age 0 to 100. Along with her husband Daryl, children and dogs, she leads an active lifestyle full of travelling, sports and adventure.
