Dr. Miller graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 1973 and Doctor of Optometry from University of Waterloo in 1977. Following that Dr. Miller stayed at Waterloo and completed a Post Doctoral Residency in Clinical Optometry with emphasis in Primary Care before starting practice in Guelph. Before and after completing Optometry School Dr. Miller provided optometric services to various first nation communities in the Sioux Lookout Zone in northwestern Ontario. He has been active in the Ontario Association of Optometrists as a volunteer committee member and elected board member. Dr. Miller is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. In the summer, when not at Edinburgh Optometry Clinic or at home, Dr. Miller can be found kayaking on the “mighty” Speed River. In the winter, Coach Bob can be found in local gyms coaching Basketball.
