Dr. Catherine Wright

Dr. Catherine Wright completed her Bachelor of Science in 2011 followed by a Doctor of Optometry in 2017 at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. As part of her optometric training, she completed an an externship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas where she managed many ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetes and dry eye. She is currently completing a post-graduate residency program at University of Waterloo in Cornea and Contact Lenses, which involves direct patient care as well as lecturing and tutoring. She has volunteered her time providing eye care services to underprivileged populations in Bucharest, Romania through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) as well as provided vision screenings for athletes competing in the Special Olympics sponsored by Lions Club International. Outside of optometry, her interests include: family, beach volleyball, yoga, basketball, camping, music and painting.

Masking Recommended 

As we are in close contact with our patients for their examinations and optical consultations for an extended period of time. For the well-being of our patients and staff, and with the recommendation of the WDG Public Health team, masking is recommended upon entry.
